The meaning of this Chinese New Year Couplet is ‘ Blessed is DBS to have God’s grace, which enables us to lead and to flourish.’ This Chinese calligraphy is in running script, this style moderates between orderly regular script and spontaneous cursive script. The right hand side upper inscription seal is our school badge while the left hand side lower inscription seal is the theme design logo of ploughing through the wave. In Chinese Art, bats symbolise blessings and each side of this couplet has five bats, meaning five blessings descend upon your home, they are the blessings of longevity, wealth, health, prosperity and fertility.
